3.0 miles, 300’ elevation gain, 2:00 roundtrip time
While on our way to Arizona Teresa and I passed through the little town of Bluff in southeast Utah and stopped to do a short and sweet little leg stretcher hike into Bluff Canyon.

a pretty flowering rabbitbrush
The rocky bluffs lining the broad canyon were striking.
We met and visited a bit with a couple from Europe who were hiking out. The trail was flat and easy most of the way but got a bit more challenging at the head of the canyon.
getting further into the canyon
the route went up a short talus slope

we turned around here after pushing through the vegetation
After going as far as we could we retraced our steps back to our car.
