In July Teresa and I made our annual trek to Crested Butte, the exuberantly named "Wildflower Capital of the World." Upon our arrival in town we stopped at the visitor center to inquire about locations for the best displays of flowers. A girl there suggested we go up Prospect Drive on the back of the ski area to the vicinity of the Elephant Bar at the top of a ski run, which proved to be a priceless tip. We went up there and were treated to grand displays of flowers.

Then over the course of the next two days we proceeded to drive around and took several short hikes to take photos of the flowery beauty.
