SHRINE RIDGE, REVISITED

July 29, 2025

By Tim Briese

5.2 miles, 1000’ elevation gain, 3:35 roundtrip time

I knew that my wife Teresa would love to see the spectacular scenery and wildflowers that I saw on my first hike to Shrine Ridge a couple of weeks ago. We arranged to do the hike with our nephew’s wife Nancy, who loves to do this sort of thing too. We met Nancy at the trailhead and embarked up the scenic trail. The wildflowers were even more profuse than they were earlier in July, especially along the lower portions of the trail.

We strolled along, taking numerous photos and soaking it all in.

It was a scenic treat hiking down to the end of the ridge again.

After hiking down to the viewpoint at the end of the ridge we hiked back before a rain shower moved in.
